This island is native to South Africa, Reunion Island (a French volcanic island southwest of the Indian Ocean), Madagascar Island (Africa Island), Egypt and Morocco, in the 17th century, was introduced to European countries, including Italy, Spain and France. It is a perennial shrub, the whole plant hairy, often used as shrubs, about 1m in height, leaves needle-like, margin serrated.
